Johnson is a 5th year senior on the Weber State men’s golf team. He recently went above and beyond his role as a student-athlete in an effort to reach out to another student-athlete who was dealing with something that was all too familiar to him. A current softball player was dealing with the reality of loosing her father to a brain tumor. Johnson coordinated a card making night where all 300+ student-athletes were invited to stop by for a snack and tap into their inner childhood by making cards with markers, stickers, and construction paper. Nearly 200 student-athletes attended this night of card making and it was a night of healing for Johnson as well. He lost his mother to cancer when he was 14 years old. This was a way to keep his mothers legacy alive but more importantly it was an opportunity to reach out to a fellow student-athlete struggling with life’s reality.

As a dedicated student, Johnson is maintaining a 3.91 grade point average and majoring in Business Finance.
